OVERVIEW
The aim of the project is to control lights or fans using a remote controller through an easily circuit based on 555 timer. The lights or fans can be made ON or OFF through the remote.For the remote, the normal household T.V remote with IR transmitter can be used.
To implement the above we have made use of TSOP which is a miniaturized receiver for infrared remote control systems, 555 timer which is used to produce clock pulse to toggle the D flip flop and relay which is a contactor or electrically controlled switch used for switching a circuit.
COMPONENT USED
- 230v to 6v step down transformer (used this only if it is required to convert AC supply into DC supply)
- 7805 voltage regulator ( to provide a regulated 5v to the circuit)
- TSOP IR receiver
- IC 555
- IC 7474
- BC 187 Transistor
- Diode 1N4007x5
- Resistors (220KΩ, 100Ω)
- Relay (6V)
- Capacitor (1μF, 470μF)
